According to Grace Samulo, Marketing Director of Toyota Astra Motor (TAM), "the old generation of the type J, E, and v. upon request input from consumers and the media, All-New Innova had a different type than before."

 The third new type each offered with two engine options, a gasoline unit 1TR-FE 2.0 liter with Dual VVT-i technology and diesel units 2GD-FTV 2.4 liter with Variable Nozzle Turbo (VNT). The second engine was offered with a manual transmission and automatic acceleration 5 6 acceleration with sequential shift.
